There is no way I am ahead of his "anything" range?

Only if its a backdoor flushdraw. But I would not count on this much. I mean seiously, he may have 24o here for what I know.

You bet pot into two people, no HU. He probably can beat an ace.

Id hope so. I think we are getting about 3 to 2 odds to call. I felt and still feel its about 60% he has me beat 40% I am ahead. So, In my mind its a wash. Unless my math is off...which is completely possible

I'm pretty sure you are behind here at least 80% of the time. You get 1 to 4.5. And you have say 4 clean outs at best, however there is a good chance you are drawing dead. You need huge implied odds to make this call. CO has 6 behind. Does not cut it. Notice how he makes a min raise instead of s shove. He wants you to call with an ace.

how do you figure 1 to 4.5? By my English Major math I figure that if I push he is def calling so I would have to put in 13 to win 21.25. so thats like 2 to win 3...no? Your 80% figure may very well be correct...

I raise preflop almost always, ~3 should do it.

1) You have an UTG-limper + a poster, chances are you will take it down preflop.

2) If you don't take it down preflop with your raise, you might get it heads up and a con. bet will do the trick.

I always like to play pots aggressive if no other people have showed strenght.

As played I push turn. He probaly has an A, but could be any. Maybe 2 pair. But he is short, so i fancy our chances.

OT: what are your nick? i am playing alot 50NL these days, it's very likely we have played some hands together.

raise preflop.

CO posted blind - I don't let anyone post blinds on my tables and see teh flop for a limp - I raise ATC get him to fold that 24o preflop.

as played fold - you have NO idea what hand he has and he's telling you your one pair is smoked - I'd believe him.

Pushing? First, you cant push. You can't even minreraise properly since hes only got 6 behind. Second, what hand do you think he is folding here? And what hand is he calling with that you can beat?

@ corsakh

He is folding nothing - which is an important point.

He is sitting down with less than 1/3 of a buyin and posting blinds in MP = he is a donk.

He could have any piece here, and he is calling.

I have played 35000 hands in that game the last month, and players like him go broke with any pair here.

Assumption that a player is a donk does not mean he can not beat a TP. And yes, players like him go broke with any pair here, but through calling or pushing, not minreraising.

Thanks for the input. I just didnt feel that I was beaten that often against this guy after playing a few hands with him, but I probably should have folded.

@ corsakh

It is not a minreraise, just a minraise.

Looks pretty damn donkish to me, and I see people doing this with all kinds of crap.

Sure he might have a straight or 2 pair, but we beat his range, which IMO contains any Ax combination.

Ok.
