typing in the URL seems to redirect me to the Party Casino webpage - but this e-mail looks like the worst POS that I've ever seen

Looks like someone trying to get you tracked to their affiliate account.

It was pretty obvious that the e-mail wasn't really from Party Casino, but I checked and that domain was created 2 weeks ago.
