I had just caused the villain (kind of a fish) to be short stacked a hand or two earlier, he minraised, and i 3bet, and he pushes, I call this right? The minraise looks like a "well, this hand is too strong to just limp but not strong enough for a 4xbb raise" fish thinking.

Call hes probley on tilt from it and AK is a good hand especially against someone who we can assume is on tilt.

min raise is often a monster.

Tell me this, you are saying he has a ok hand "good enought for a min raise but not good enoguh for a 4xBB raise" But then he 3 bets all in? How does a hand that isn't worthy of a 4xBB hand suddenly become an all in hand?

I wouldn't be too surprized to see AA/KK a lot in this situation, but because UTG only has 40xBB, you have decent odds with the 4.35 already in there.

You have to be about 40% to win to make this profitable, I think I would call this, but if it was a full stack fold

Call it if you want to gamble as it's most likely a coin flip TT - QQ. Your only a real dog to two hands, AA/KK.

You have him totally dominated if he flips over AQ, AJs, KQs type of hand...

This hand seems really fishy, I call here though, against a shorty I can't fold AK.

It's also often a sign of garbage.

People really overrate the "minraise = nuts!" mantra crap.

I instacall.

min raise - ai is a normal fish play with any pocket pair. More often then not it a small to medium (since they like to limp with their K's and A's) however it can be those as well.
Taking stack size into account, it usually is a call. Especially against a fish.

I would call here, not only because the price is right, but also because he's probably steaming a bit and some people then tend to treat their shortstack as if they're on the final table of the WPT and go allin with JTs. I play $10NL though, but there people very often apply tourney shortstack strategy to cashgames. Does anyone else see that?
