Ok I just played NL 6 dollar BB at Full Contact Poker. Ongame network.

I had 700 dollars in play and was dealt KK on the button in a shorthanded game. One person calls out of position and I raise to 18. Everyone folds to the out of position guy who then reraises me another 22 (so 40). So I pump it up to 100 (so 60 more) and he calls.

Flop is a J25 rainbow. He checks and I raise 150. 3/4 the pot. And he calls.

Turn is a 7. He checks and I raise 350. Between 3/5 and 4/5 the pot. He calls.

River is the dreaded A and he goes all in immediately. Wow. Ok I had 600 of my 700 invested and this was a 1400 dollar pot, so obviously I had to call.

Was there anything I could of done in this hand to get him off his AK??

Why in the world would you want him to fold AK?

Exactly. I think you played it about as well as you could. He is drawing to 3 outs and calling huge bets. I would love to have him call me down with these odds.

You played it perfectly, you don't want him to fold.
