View Full Version : Winrates from the SB

After 12K hands at 25NL I'm -14PTBB/100 in the SB. Obviously I've been playing way too loose here. I've been trying to tighten up a lot here as this has got to be a leak. After that many hands I should'nt be losing so much from any position. Today I played 500 hands or so and only lost $2.25 in the SB or -2PTBB/100. I'm pleased with this and even though 500 hands is nothing, I do feel the improvement is coming from me lowering my vpip here.
Just curious what some people's winrates are in the blinds at 25NL over a decent sample size. Anybody making money here, or must we lose?

agreed. Though tightening up now could fix this and becoming a better postflop player oop will come with time.

Playing $25NL, I'm -.06/100 from the SB over 18k hands. I generally fold the SB unless I'm getting huge pot odds or have AQ+, 22+.

stats like this take forever to converge. you can tighten up if you want, but one or two coolers over a sample that small will decimate your winrate.

Antinome gave some solid advice a while ago on tight SB play.
Search his name and small blind might get it.
I think BTN vpip ~> SB vpip, this is a another good sign of positional awarness.
IMHO many players complete SB with far too much without the skillz to play OOP sketchy hands when they half-hit the flop.
I'm one of those , so I play tight and often steal my SB back next hand /images/graemlins/tongue.gif
