Just curious. Is this standart for all serious online-stud players? Are there any pro who use default deck online?
Comments are appreciated

I'd rather kill myself than play an 8-hour session with the 4-color deck.

I find it impossible to play without the 4 color deck.

I agree, the 4 color deck is the only way to go. It never caught on in live games but given all the internet players things may change in the future. A few weeks ago I played in a B&M for the first time (in a very long time) and it took a little while to adjust to the regulation deck.

I think it just comes down to preference, I like the standard. I don't think the colors effect much, you can tell a club from a spade still.

It’s kind of funny that people seem to either love or hate it. When I first tried the four-color deck, it felt like an assault on my eyesight. Now I can’t imagine playing without it because you can tell suits at a glance. For me, clubs are green. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I won't play at any site that I can't get a 4 color deck on.

They will never become common as too many men including myself are colour blind and the standard colours they use are about the worst combinations to distinguish.

The four-color deck is the work of the devil.

hehe, nice posts.
I think 4 color deck is pretty helpful for online games, but maybe I could play with regulation deck in slow B&M games (never played live coz I live in Ukraine)

I would never ever play with a four color deck under any circumstances. But I'm "old school" lol.

I'm with Roland, Andy and Jeffage on this one (except I'm not to the point that "killing myself" would enter into the picture).

There are cheating concerns with using a four-color deck in live play - Mason talked about this in one of his essays books. So I doubt that will happen (and no, I don't remember the specifics of the essay).

Do you remember how a 4 color deck relate to cheating? I don't see the connection.

it's weird a first but you'll learn to love it like your first born.

I use the four color deck. I love it...especially when multi-table "ing".

I don't care much one way or another - if the particular site's pips are small or maybe if I were playing at a much higher resolution I might need the 4-color.

It makes front loading (sp?) easier.

That's the gist of it.
