Villain is 28/20/6(!) over 1200 hands and he's very aggressive both pre- and postflop. I'm avoiding him pretty well even though he's on my direct left. I don't think he wants to play a big pot with me. Likewise. I don't wanna play a huge pot especially unimproved. How's this line and bet size on turn?

i dont understand the turn bet. ar you putting you opp on AK?

Seems lile a couple of hands in his range are 99+ and ak. i think you are losing to a big part of his range no?

If you dont' want to play a big pot why bet $9 on the turn?

I think this is fine. What's your plan for river if he calls? What if he raises you on the turn?

I think this bet is good. If he thinks you were stealing, the 7 on the turn could easily give him a headache since many connectors (edit: mostly one-gappers) have big hands (edit: or strong draws) now. If he has missed with overs, you are basically telling him that you have a big pair. So this bet has fold equity and acts as a blocker against a $12 2nd barrel. It's gonna get tough when he raises you though. Especially because he could easily hold a connector that he tried to resteal with... He probably won't call, because he just doesn't do that. So you either make him fold or you are in trouble here.

If he calls and a non-club comes, I'll check/call the river. He's a big bluffer but it's hard to tell when he has it and when he doesn't. I've seen him get caught once and he played it basically the same as a real hand.

If he raises, I'll probably fold it, my hand is pretty face up to him I think - 1 pair, pretty vulnerable. It really depends on his bet, I may decide to shove if he raises bigger. A smaller raise from him would worry me because he's usually forcing people to big decisions, and a smaller raise looks like he's sucking me in.

I dunno if that makes sense - it does in my head.

Of course it makes sense but it is obviously highly read dependant. The fact that you two are trying to avoid yourselves as much as possible makes the range he puts you on smaller, probably, because he knows you won't steal with T8 from the SB.
