have you seen him do this before? A c/r and a cold call means you are usually behind. Reads are very important aswell. I don't think folding is an option, the odds are far too good. It's call and re-evaluate or put in a decent rr and fold to a push. However, if bb is being agro w/ a flush draw then he probably isn't playing it down anyway. Call and fold to serious turn aggression is the best line in most situations like this. Reads are v. important though.

No this is the first time. When Villian #2 cold-called, warning bells went off in my head. But I remembered this was 25NL so he could just be overplaying a8/flush draw. I actually had no reads on Villian #2 at the time because my PAHUD hadn't come up yet.

If Villian #2 is an unknown do you still call and reevaluate turn? (i.e. fold to a push on the turn)

yeah unknown at 25NL won't be masters by any means.

you're not that far away from having the implied odds to spike a J actually.

tbh I find the play at FT light years better than any other site. I'm going to be moving to pokerstars next month because I can play more tables/play against more fish. The downside is no rakeback though /images/graemlins/frown.gif

FWIW I assumed villian #2 was an unknown and raised it up to $20 on the flop. Villian #1 folded and Villian #2 pushed over me. I called and villian#2 showed 8/images/graemlins/club.gif 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif for top set. GG

make a note of villain 1.

Yeah the over call is worrying, you are right though, could well be a flush draw.

Yeah. Thanks for the advice. What limits do you play?

I'd call here, you have a one pair hand and cant like the action so far. Honestly folding is even an option IMO. If BB had made a normal raise and UTG+1 cold calls that you're def letting go right? I'd call bc if I hit my jack I probably get 2 stacks. Also you're in position which is good. If you call the flop and the turn goes BB bet, UTG+1 call/raise then you can easily fold. I wouldn't mind the raise heads up but the UTG+1 cold call should be setting off alarm bells.

50NL wanna play 100NL, but I'm not rolled, and I always get bored and burn money away with ridiculous plays (DNS). Maybe I should play 3843249871392487190432 tables instead of 2!

Fear the min-raise. Seriously.
