Villain in the main hand is a major retard, my read comes from this hand:

50NL
SB ($112)
BB ($59)
Villain ($20)
MP ($42)
Hero ($56)
Button ($53)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A/images/graemlins/spade.gif 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif, MP posts BB
Villain calls, MP checks, Hero raises to $2.5, 1 fold, SB BB & MP call

Flop: 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif ($10.5)
SB checks, BB checks, Villain bets $5, Hero raises to $28, 2 folds, Villain calls

Turn: [censored] ($46)

River: [censored] ($46)

Villain shows T/images/graemlins/heart.gif 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif ftw

A few orbits later:

50NL
SB ($47)
BB ($126) - smells like a decent TAG, small sample though
UTG ($54)
Villain ($41) - major retard
CO ($82)
Hero ($49)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A/images/graemlins/spade.gif K/images/graemlins/heart.gif
UTG calls, Villain calls, CO calls, Hero raises to $3, 1 fold, BB calls, 1 fold, Villain & CO call

Flop: 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif 4/images/graemlins/heart.gif 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif ($12)
checkity-check

Turn: A/images/graemlins/club.gif ($12)
BB checks, Villain bets $4, CO folds, <font color="red"> Hero raises to $16 </font>

I think that BB is a decent player and assume he's not going to try a c/r twice. Villain is an idiot so my plan is to get it in on the turn if possible or shove a non-disastrous river card if he calls turn. Thoughts?

On hand #1 if villain is a major donk I think calling is best as he will give away his monies anyway if you hit.

On hand #2 I think the raise is fine although hitting top pair on the turn is dangerous and sometimes should be played slowly.

I only found it out when he showed his hand, so I think raising is goot.

I agree about #2 generally, but I think BB is going to fold close to always and that this board is too draw heavy for taking it slow. Plus I think that villain will stack off here quite nicely if he has a piece of the board, so I think I should make the stacks good for a river shovement.
