Absolute Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
6 players

No reads on Villain. He watched one or two orbits and folded every time. I didn't want to play for my entire stack. Please take into account that at Absolute, stacks can be 200 BB deep. And I play that level only since 1 week, so I may be a little conservative until I have some more experience.

Converter (http://www.neildewhurst.com/hand-converter)

Stack sizes:
UTG: $48.65
Hero: $133.09
CO: $103.35
Button: $66.65
SB: $26.30
BB: $25

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with K/images/graemlins/club.gif K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif
<font color="#cc0000">UTG raises to $2</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $6</font>, <font color="#cc0000">CO raises to $28</font>, 4 folds, Hero folds.
Uncalled bets: $22 returned to CO.

Results:
Final pot: $14.75

I can't say I hate it especially since you're deep and I don't know what he does that with other than AA.

I push. If he has AA so be it.

Push.

If I have a read (e.g. 400 hands with 2 pfr) I might consider a fold. And then I'd push.

I agree - and since they're used to playing for 200 bbs, they should call there with a lot more than AA. If you're uncomfortable playing for 200bbs, buy in at $50. No shame in that.

Folding KK preflop is painfully hard, but in these situations it seems that you are behind at least 75% of the time unless villain is very LAGgy. I would probably push here but I like your line better.

i don't like it. Stacks are deep enough that you can call or raise still. If stacks were 100BB I think its an easy push.

eigenvalue,

whats your image? if you come across as a tight player then I can see folding being okay but if you're known for 3betting light I think you're folding too quick.

No, I will not buy in for less than 100$. The reason is that I get more respect with this stack, so I can steal more blinds, do more CB and so on. The level at this site has a strange mix of players. 1/2 are Shorties with stacks of less than 30$ - they are usually very weak calling stations, 1/4 has stacks around 50$ and the rest has stacks of 100$.

i would never fold KK at this level for anything PF action below 200bbs.

I don't know what my image is. I play at Absolute only for 1 week, so I think no one has a proper read on me so long. Some players may see me as a LAG, some may see me as a TAG. I think people will have difficulties in putting me into a category. The Villain in that hand so far never sat down at a table I played. And because I play under different user names in different poker rooms, he cannot remember me from another site.
