I'm honestly lost in this hand, I don't know if he caught the flush or if he had a nine of if he simply bluffed me out of a large pot, but I didn't want to risk anymore money than I already had not knowing any of these things.

why did you check this flop? the river does look like you are beat though, it's tougher because you've underrepped your hand here, with your play I would've guessed AK on your part.

If you've got a hand that is good enough to 3-bet, you should usually lead the flop.

I'll keep that in mind, in retrospect it does look silly not to raise that prime flop.

Definitely lead the flop and as played I prefer a c/c on the river.

First of all, you don't get cute with kings with that flop and give him free cards. Then when the scare card hits, I don't mind the bet on the turn, but you have to make it bigger. And then since you checked flop I say you have to check river because then like I said earlier, you let him see a free card on flop and then you let him see another free card for only 6 dollars. And while Im not saying that 9 was a gin card for him, you really have no idea what to put him on. And also when you play high pp's, try to lose the minimum especially when you make a crucial mistake by checking that kind of flop.
