View Full Version : What's a good players/flop % for 6-max?

My new year's resolution is to start playing 6-max and I haven't found this in any of the "getting started in 6-max" threads I've seen. This is the only stat a lot of poker sites give to aid table selection and would appreciate some feedback regarding this.

I've seen winners with 15/2 and 45/15. Just depends on your post flop skills, the level you are playing and the type of villains you are up against. Optimal TAG is probably 20/10 or thereabouts.

When i'm tight its %20, when i'm lucky & a bit looser 25 to 30%. This is for % of flops seen.

Not saying that I am good but I recently started playing 6 max again after playing 10 for almost a year. Full ring I was 28/9 and 6 max 31/9. I don't have too large of a sample size yet but my BB/100 has gone up in the process.....?

Sorry, I meant the table average displayed in the lobby, not individual VP$IP.

Higher is better. It is easier to make money at a table that is loose pre-flop. If you play at Stars, a high pot amount coupled with a high table VPiP is usually a very good table. Especially if the maniac in the bunch is sitting with 3 or 4 buy-ins /images/graemlins/smile.gif

look for "whitelime" username in the search, limit it to SSNL. he talks about table selection

I just reviewed my post several hours after putting it up. What the heck was i thinking. I wasn't paying attention to the "good player's" part of the question. oh well, posted anyway. lol
