View Full Version : NO more bad beat stories (I got the solution!)

After hearing countless bad beat stories from one of my friends, a buddy and I decided to come up with a system to eliminate them, and this is what we came up with: Rather than saying "My AA got rivered by KK!", with this system we can assign a 2 digit number to any bad beat. The first digit (1-9) is how many outs the opponent had going to the river, while the second digit is what your hand was, with 1 being a straight flush, down to 9 being high card. So when AA gets rivered by KK, instead you got "28'ed".. he rivers a flush against your straight? too bad, thats a 95er..
i think this has some potential, as we use it all the time amongst ourselves now, it saves both people time and the one who got bad beated still has the satisfaction of laying the sob story on someone else.

I think if they have more than 9 outs...its not erally a bad beat.... I think if they had more than 5 outs - its not really a bad beat...and even 4 or 5 ...or even 3 outs isn't that bad.

more than 9 outs.. not a bad beat.. runner runner i guess could be a 1 depending on the %, e.g. you could work backwards and say if his runner shot was 4% it'd be a 2x... also if you had AA vs. AK preflop and he outflops you you could give it a 38

And 69s are quite common short-handed.
