I'm filing as a gambling pro this year. What forms do I need besides Schedule C? What purpose does Schedule SE have? Thanks.

Schedule SE? Are you a Minister as well as a professional poker player? Why not hire an accountant?

"Why not hire an accountant? "

since i have basically no deductibles i don't see the point in spending $500 for an accountant. shouldn't it be easy enough to just report my net winnings?

joker,
Schedule SE is for calculating your self-employment tax. The products of that schedule go to at least 2 places on your 1040.
If you can't read and understand instructions to tax forms, then NO, IT's NOT EASY ENOUGH. Get an accountant.
By the way, as a pro you can also deduct poker-related expenses on Schedule C like travel, books, computer, etc. Make sure you have a net income on Sch. C as a net loss is not allowed.
What else.... get a CPA.

Does it really cost $500?
