PhD in AI/Ecology '94

building reasoning systems to assess habitats for a species, explain its reasoning to anyone in step-by-step detail, and also ascribe uncertainty to its decision-making using a qualitative approach (and I would argue more similar to human than other contemporary approaches). Maybe I'll do a thread about it sometime - but it's old AI now, the field has moved on (but my ideas on representing uncertainty qualitatively by the use of words like 'almost', 'highly probable', 'not very likely' etc is still an unexplored area, btw).

BS in Symbolic Systems with a neurosciences concentration.

I guess Cognitive Science is a more commonly used term for what I studied.

I'm going to start grad school next year with the hopes of getting a PhD in cognitive neuroscience/psychology.
