I am playing the golden palance $300 Casino Bonus and find the $1 single bets particualry tiring .I was thinking of playing 5 hand or 3 hand BJ but was not sure whether it would change the 'house edge' or increase the risk of busting.

Does "Risk of Busting" OR "house edge" increase or decrease if I play 5 hand or 3 hand BJ instead of single hand BJ ?

If you want an in-depth explanation, a search should find some lengthy threads on the topic. Coles notes, these are listed in increasing amount of RoR (Risk of Ruin), or variance:

3 - $1 bets
1 - 3-Handed $1 bet ($3 total)
1 - $3 bet

In other words, playing multi-handed increases your variance, but not by as much as increasing your amount wagered on each hand. Of course, increasing the amount per hand increases your hourly rate. Again, you can find much more in-depth analysis in previous threads...this has been discussed at great length previously. Good luck!

House edge obviously does not increase when you bet incrementally more or less. The HA of making a $100 bet is exactly the same as making 100 $1 bets. What does change drastically however, is the amount of variance you accept by wagering in 3 places. You're much more likely to have large up or downswings when you triple your bet-size. Risk of Ruin increases, but necessarily, so does the chance of earning over the amount of your bonus and deposit.

IMO, if I ever bet anything nearly as low as $3/hand I'd probably find the highest thing I could jump myself off of immediately.
