If you have K8 what are the odds of you flopping a pair?

44/50 * 43/49 *?????

or
0.77224 * ????

44/50 * 43/49 * 6/48 * 3=.2895

Note this is the odds of pairing exactly one of your hole cards, e.g. it includes flops like 845 and K33, but not K83 or 888.

You can get the odds of pairing, two pairing, setting, boating, or quading (taking liberties with the English language) by calculating 1-P(miss flop) = =1-(44/50*43/49*42/48) = 32.4%.

Comparing this to Tom's answer gives a difference of 3.4% which should be the probability of two pair + set + FH + quads.

Its the probability of pair "or better" only when hole cards are not suited or connected because obviously flushes and straights would not be included.
