I realize laws vary by locality and I have made myself aware of those laws. In the process of working on an appeal and until I can find a pro bono type, I think I'm on my own.

Looking for some very general advice.

This isn't legislation, but it's my forum! /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

DC, Md. or Va ?

What is the issue ?

What Court are you in ?

If you are on appeal, you probably have no shot .... what are you appealling, a question of fact finding or law ?

I am not volunteering pro bono, but try a clinic at GULC or GW ...

DC

Building owners are using their ability to claim "Hardship" under the Rental code to increase rent well above the typical rent ceiling.

The District has already approved their application and now we move to the portion of the process where residents can appeal that decision.

Looking at pro bono services tomorrow when I make some calls. Probably a rather common situation, just not sure what the best way to challenge them is.
