I have been hearing a lot of rumors on full tilt that click2pay is on the brink of pulling out. Has anyone heard this. I also heard that FULL TILT has stopped outgoing checks.

Full Tilt has not stopped outgoing checks. I e-mailed FTP support the other day and they said that players would be given time to adjust if any policy changed with check disbursement.

Stu patterson just said 10 minutes ago that full tilt has stopped outgoing checks. One of the 25-50 players specifically asked.

If this is true this is absolutely horrible.

Existing Click2Pay account holders (US)will be able to continue.

Click2Pay will not, as of today, open new US consumer accounts.

Tell me about it.

We still accept credit cards and cashiers checks (10% immediate bonus for those, something we have been doing for 5 years.)

we are working on a new ACH solution.

TPCEO,

Any chance you can clear out your PM box?

So If I opened a Click2pay account this morning and it is all set up I will be able to use it as a US resident?

You can email me at management@truepoker.com.

I found a while ago it is too tough to try and keep the PM box here cleared.

Thanks

I just went to sign up for Click2Pay, was gonna wait until all this settled down, and the signup screen told me my IP wasn't in the US, Great Britain, France, or a few other countries and couldn't sign up.

They said no, but you are welcome to try at our site. It likely will, they are sometimes a bit slow to implement software changes. (I tested an account opened yesterday, and it worked, but they said they pulled the plug for new accounts as of today.)

What credit card company still does business with gambling sites? My Master Card stopped doing so years ago.

And why doesn't anyone accept regular checks? I thought that was supposed to be the big loophole in the UIGEA.

Full tilt says the following about checks which SUCKS:
"Unfortunately, due to a recent change in our check processor's policies,
we are temporarily unable to issue checks to US residents. We are
working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. In the meantime,
rest assured that this does not affect the money in your Full Tilt Poker
account in any way. Your money is safe, secure and ready for use on our
tables or for withdrawal at any time. Full Tilt Poker is fully committed
to continue offering its services to all of our players worldwide."

Several rooms used Citadel for their paper check service. When Citadel pulled out of the US gaming market on the 18th, several rooms were affected. It is probable that FTP is one of these rooms.

Hopefully some other method pops up, but I think we may be sitting and waiting for a while.

If I was Full Tilt I would certainly stop issuing checks until something got cleared up a little bit as well. I wouldn't want everyone pulling their money off the site with no great way of putting it back in. I wouldn't want people to panic and the traffic on my site to die down dramatically.

Why not give players their money as expeditously as possible ??? It IS their money after all.

don't want to sidetrack the thread, but has anyone gotten through to click2pay over the phone today? i've been trying to call for the past hour or so and either i get disconnected after about four seconds, or i get through, hear some music, and then get disconnected after waiting for about five minutes. wtf?

Because they're in business to make money.

Does any one know if the Click2Pay decision to not accept anymore new signups from the US is a permanent decision/precursor to a pullout from US transactions all together or is it simply temporary until they can catch up with the obvious deluge of new accounts?
