Hey guys

I genereally play cash at 5cent/10cent level. I have found that raising the 4X BB gains respect generally. Although there are a few players that always re-raise or call no matter what. How do you combat these players? do you raise bigger say 6 or 7X BB? or do you let those players raise and call when you have a good hand?

marchrons post doesnt make any sense to me. In situations like that I generally let them do the betting for me, or if they are stations, I tighten up a little bit.

I think your question is a bit vague but hey.
4xBB + 1 per limper is good. You dont want to raise different amounts with different hands PF or people will catch on.

No one will catch up if You use different raising amounts with some care. I know that 2+2 is a forum where everyone believes that You should always use the same raising amount, but that's ridiculous. For example:

If there is a short stack left to act behind me, I like to raise something like 1/3 to 1/2 of his stack if I have a hand where I'm happy to go all-in against a Shorty. That stratgy produces sometimes strange amounts of raises or reraises, bit I can recommend it a lot. It works really, really good!

Take a look at this recent thread for a few more ideas:

I completely disagree with this "raise the same amount so they can't get a tell on me philosophy", there have been many posts about why this isn't the greatest idea (as well as a section in NLTAP on it)
