It's quite obvious that he either has a T or 8 and I think he will bet those (the 8 always) and T a fair enough of times. C/R better than betting out? I doubt any player at nl25 except some of you guys can fold AT or an 8 here when I show I have that beat.

I prefer to just lead for $6 here. I don't wanna get fancy and then have him check the river behind.

If you think that there is more than a 50% that he will bet when you check then c/r. If you think that there is a decent chance he will raise if you bet then bet.

It's somewhat risky without a read, but I sway towards a c/r in this spot after a turn raise @25NL.

C/R, induce the bluff. Since you led the turn, villian will have trouble putting you on a flush.

How likely is he to raise with an 8?

I lead against the majority of villains because they are either too passive or so aggressive that they raise with 98. That turn play makes the passive shut down with an 8.

This was my thoughts exactly, but I went for it. He bets out 2,5. I make it 8 to go and he call me with Queens...

i dont like it, alot of players will check behind now the flush has got there.

I agree that he probably has a T or an 8.

I'd bet out like $6. Either a T or 8 might call that, and an 8 might even raise. If you check, you run the risk of him either checking behind, or betting really small (he only min-raised the turn). If he makes a tiny river bet, and you make a big raise he'll probably fold and then all you get is his tiny bet. I think theres a better chance he'll call a decent size bet from you.

Of course, that's without a read. If he tends to make big river bets with medium strength hands or likes to bluff scare cards, then maybe a check raise is good.

I don't like it either. I see too many villains check behind here as well. I bet whatever I think villain will call here and hope he does. I'd need a pretty good read to c/r here.

If you had checked the turn, I'd give you a lot more credit for the flush than if you led out like you did. I think a T or an 8 calls a reasonable bet here (and checks behind if you don't bet) often enough that betting is the best play in this situation.
