Hi everyone,

I've been reading this forum for quite a while, and this is my very first topic.

I'd like to have your feedback about this hand and the move I made on the flop.

Thanks a lot !

Here's the hand :

Well, you got lucky with deep stacks. Shouldn't have made that bluff raise when the villain is showing that much strength.

i would have folded the flop but maybe im a nit.....depends on if i thought my A and K were live outs or not.

Thank you for your 1st answers.

Let me tell you my point of view.

I have the nut flush draw.
I'm ahead if he's holding QQ, JJ
I'm a light underdog if he's holding KK
I don't put him on Aces due to his minireraise preflop which I find to be awful.
He can also have a set (and he has), which could be my only trouble.

I gamble, for sure, but this move seems to me being ev+++, not only for the money I can take from him, but concerning my image at the table.

And that was what happened : after this hand, every single bet I made has been respected, and no one at the table tried to bluff me.

This move allowed me to win further big pot, either by bluffing, reraising, or by stealing pots with junk cards.

I've not much FE there, but my main concern is to double up my stack, so...

Does my speech seems ok for you or nonsense ?

To finish, sure I gambled, but :

- I had nut flush draw, and not only 2 outs
- I was HU and not in a multiway
- He was deepstack, so very interesting.

This is an interesting hand. Many times I read that people are looking to get it all in post flop with the nut flush draw and two overs.

With this board, what would he min-raise with preflop and then re-raise with on the flop. He has the big stack, so I would assume he isn't terrible. He may have a set, maybe JJ-AA. Maybe 99. That's about it - unless you have a good read otherwise.

Running the numbers AKs vs 99+ in this spot, AKs would win 47% of the time. (taking 99 out doesn't change the odds much) Will he fold 99, JJ, QQ enough to turn this into a winner? It is a high variance move either way.

As you pointed out, it will surely change your immediate table image. (Not sure how much that matters most of the time at this level)

For me it is probably a fold when I think about it, but at the table, its hard to fold the nut flush draw in that situation. I'm normally very tight and have been working on playing draws like this more aggressively, which is why this question interested me so much. I'm also new here, so any corrections to my thinking are welcomed.

Notice how I omit irrelevant actions and streets.

This is a pretty bold move, but given that he's probably on 99+ I like it. (the chance of AA,KK is greatly reduced by our holding one A and one K)

do not show results or action after your all-in, as it biases the responses

The neidelwurst converter (Antinome's post) is v. slow and often down.... this one was made by 2p2's very own Tickner... so obv. much better!

Play looks fine, however I 3-bet preflop. When he raises to $1.35, re-raise him to $6 or so. You're both fairly deep and you have a monster here. Build a big pot with it.

Well, thanks a lot for your answers (and for the help about the converter !).

This is a move I like to do when I have any Axs over a xs xs x flop, when I get reraised.

50% of time, the opponent folds ; when he calls, it can be with all kind of hands (set, overpair, str8 draw, DP, also TP only), and well...this move is pretty intersting, especially when you flop TP in addition of your nut flush draw...
