OKay, so I am struggling a bit with my cbet in practice. I feel as though everytime a cbet I am get played back it. I am mainting TAG stats so if you would all be so kind as to review the hand below and provide some advice.

Assume Villians are standard players (neither TAG nor Donk) micro limit players.

No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.10/$0.25

Pre-flop: (6 players) HERO is SB with 9/images/graemlins/club.gif 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif
3 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises to $1</font>, <font color="#cc0000">HERO raises to $3</font>, BB folds, Button calls.

Flop: 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif K/images/graemlins/club.gif 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif ($6.25, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">HERO bets $4</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises to $8</font>, HERO ?

Re- Raise?
Call and fire again if checked to?
Fold?

Hero folds. Sure he could be making some move here, but why risk a lot of money to find out.

If I'm assuming a standard player, I would probably fold. You've shown a lot of strength preflop by re-raising, led the flop, and STILL he raised you. Not many standard players at this level would do that without a hand that beats you, I think.

This is the time to play AK like its the nuts. You're basically playing a guessing game here and he's probably never folding a K here.

IS it wrong to have bet the flop?

The flop bet is good. Sometimes you just gotta give up, especially OOP. I have no idea how long you've been at this table and what has been going on so far, but if I'm raising a good bit pf and getting resistance w/ my cbets, I'll stop cbetting unless I hit. I mean, you know they're gonna play back at you and call too, so sometimes you just have to wait until you hit and then stack them when you have the goods and they are messing with you.

Also, I rarely fire 2nd barrels at nl50 unless I know the guy is a thinking player or I'm OOP and the turn gives me some sort of draw.

i dont see this as a 2nd barrel question type post but in general.....i fire it MAYBE once in 1500 hands, you dont really need it vs many villians but if im getting my cbet called a lot by a guy ill put more pressure on him to quit because i dont always check behind on turn(though i enjoy it).

Stacks?

I can't see going on with this, sure it could be air but pushing is not folding his AK or even his Kx very often.

Call might be an option if he was pulling this move all of the time when I c-bet and we were deep stacked.

There really isn't much villain will raise with that you beat. 3-betting as a bluff is just bad.

Calling and firing the turn is really expensive. Just fold to the raise, reload and move on.
