No reads. Sat down an orbit prior.

hmm in that case I just call. For pot control, river is a fold aswell I'd say.

I think if you raise it makes the hand easier to play, because you can fold to a reraise, AND he won't bluff the river after your show of strength. BUT I think calling may be the better play since he could have anything.

If I had to guess his hand it would be the A /images/graemlins/spade.gif T /images/graemlins/spade.gif or A /images/graemlins/spade.gifJ /images/graemlins/spade.gif because he called the flop bet, bet on the turn when he picked up a few more straight outs, then bet big on the river when he made his hand.

Plus, how can he bet this river without a set or flush (more likely)? I don't see this being a bluff very much.

I think you played it well.

Seems about right to me as played.

At the turn, I think its tempting to raise, but if you put villain on a flush draw or overcards, you need to raise a decent amount to give him bad odds. His turn bet makes it $9 or so in the pot. I think you'd need to raise it close to the size of the pot to get a lot of players off the draw. Are you willing to invest another $10-12 in this hand with just an overpair? Not too attractive to me, especially since you're hurting if a spade drops on the river.

I think the call is good on the turn as-is, and if the river was a blank, you could bet for value, othewise folding...
