I was kinda getting bored so I decided to raise the pot for fun with trash. How did I play it?

No good reads on villan, he just joined table

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP ($18.85)
CO ($19.15)
Hero ($25.90)
SB ($33)
BB ($38.40)
UTG ($25.45)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 5/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1.25</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP calls $1.

Flop: ($2.85) 8/images/graemlins/club.gif, 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
MP checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $2</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises to $4</font>, Hero calls $2.

I think he still has enough behind here to make a call profitable, many players here can't get away from top pair if i do hit.

Turn: ($10.85) 5/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">MP bets $3.25</font>, Hero calls $3.25.

getting more than 4:1 plus implied odds I think this is a call

River: ($17.35) 4/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">MP bets $3.25</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $17.4</font>, MP calls $7.10 (All-In).

Final Pot: $45.10

How did i play it?

I raise less preflop. The rest is textbook standard.

I think your pf is lovely. (str8's are the great extractors /images/graemlins/smile.gif

That is how I would play it. I think about raising both flop and turn but the arguments against are persuasive to me.

Preflop raise is textbook standard as well. One limper = $1.25. Good hand.

Edit: I ran at 35/25 tonight...I was raising a lot more than 75o. /images/graemlins/wink.gif
