Check behind on the turn

[/ QUOTE ]

this gives yourself a chance to hit, AND it gives you a chance to get some value out of your TPNK if you don't hit

if you bet the turn, you open yourself up to the possibility of being donked into on the river or cr-ed

if you check the turn and call the river if donked, or bet the river if checked to, you're guaranteeing yourself only 1 street of betting post flop and not 2... and your hand can't take 2 streets of betting after the flop unless you hit your flush

also, what hands are you going to get calls from on that turn except hands that beat you, or smaller FDs

PF and flop good. Check behind on the turn and definitely check behind on the river. If you bet turn I'd just shove.

i like pf and flop

although checking behind on the flop IS something you should do everyone now and then when you're drawing to the nuts if you think you're playing opponents who stack off.... but that's a mixing it up thing imo.... you can do it either way

ty all,

Why is checking behind on the turn? If a blank come on the river are you checking again or calling a small bet?

I think checking behind on the turn is on cautious side as he could be holding AK...

?????

if you think he's holding AK, you should def. check behind

i have no idea where you got AK from though, but it is one of the many hands that we are behind on the turn

Check behing on turn for pot control and to induce value from lesser hands. Other wise you played it fine.
