Yuck. If I was a betting man, I'd probably say villian is on an overpair less than TT. But I think I'd have to be getting better than 1.5-1 to actually find out. He could also very well have a set. I tend to be kind of a puss in these situations.

That said, when people make moves like this, they're not behaving rationally so I question the value of even trying to put them on a hand. Without a really specific reason to believe someone is doing this without a premium holding, I wonder if it's best to just set a general rule like "call with trips or better".

This is close IMO. I'd fold though. You are gonna see QQ/JJ here a bunch and the occasionally slowplayed AA/KK too. Smaller PPs are possible also but most people won't often push like this w/ them. I just feel like you're behind way more than you're ahead here.

I think a move like this from a TAG player is a set. Assuming that villain read Tien's post 22, 33, 44, are all in his range but not in yours because you reraise him preflop. If you have a narrow 3betting range then he is probably putting you on a big pair hence the value push.

39/18 is TAG?

Over 140 hands? Why not?

Grunch,

He's got almost an aggression factor of almost 4 and he's pretty loose. I call and look to see 55 here a lot, but mostly a pair that is less than yours. For a buyin against a lagtard, I probably call.
