cbetting is less expensive when it doesn't work but this is fine if you expect it to work most of the time.

This is normally against lags, but two plays I like to run when people are snapping my cbets are these.
1. C/R the flop a couple of times, this will normally slow them down. If not,
2. The c/r doesnt go through on the flop(they check behind) lead the turn a few times, its like you slow played a big hand and this works well also.
I am a Tagish player though so if you are a lag they might not believe you.

It's fine if used sparingly. It's a good tool against TAGs and LAGs who c-bet too much. You have bet more. Your raise was almost a min-raise. Make it $6 next time.
