what reason do you have for not raising here?

Make it $10 to go and count the monies!

If you aren't raising a lot 100% of the time here you are playing way too scared.

I raise because of the draws. Without those I might just call if I think the villain has the ability to fold a smaller A to aggression.

I raise it up.

Waiting for the turn is not a bad idea. Any Q, J, or /images/graemlins/heart.gif is kinda scary, and if none of those 17 cards fall I feel much better about going to war with my 1 pair hand.

Is there a party line on this?

Edit - grammar

I think a raise is good here, but a call is reasonable as you're in position and can get some info by his action on the turn.

You hit a very strong flop, I don't know what you're waiting for here. Smooth calling gives our villain a chance to draw out if he is betting into the flush draw. Obviously if you encounter a lot of resistance after making it ~$10 to go then you might suspect two pair or a set. This is pretty standard, holla.

Since everyone thinks this an easy raise, I'll provide my thought process here (I called, rest of line to come):

sb limped and then called, which, in my opinion, makes AT+ unlikely. I also think most players at full ring will fold Ax to a raise here, but will often 2nd barrel or call a turn bet.
Secondly, I really don't find that players lead out when oop against a raiser at this level very often. When they do, I find they tend to have strong hands. If villain already has me beat, I think raising this flop will end in losing a big pot.

who agrees/disagrees?
