shoving is fine. Bet more on flop.

pfft he obv has the royal and you are pozzed....

the minraise either is a whacky bluff so he folds no matter what you re-raise to - or he is ready to felt so just shove.

bet pot on the flop.

3bet the turn to about $17, you still have a street if he just calls. pushing lets him get away easier.

He can't 3-bet turn and we are at the river already

I think a shove is more likely to be called than any kind of re-raise. At NL25 many people think "river shove=bluff" and call with any medium to good hand. If he was bluffing he won't call any raise anyway.

As others have said, you really have to bet more on the flop. Not only to protect your hand on a drawy board, but it makes the rest of the hand so much easier to play. Even if you just doubled your flop bet to .50, the pot is $1.60 on the turn and you can bet ~1.25. If villains calls that the pot will be $6.60 on the river. If you bet $5 and he minraises, then you can shove river and if he has any kind of hand he'll call his last ~$12 in a $33 pot.

Pot all streets to build a more substantial pot and can value shove the river. As played I would raise it to about $10, though he'll probably call a shove too.

just had another look at this and don't understand what I wrote. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

might have got hands mixed up.

for this hand:

bet potish on flop, push river. you're getting paid by flushes and straights.
