Villan is your typical bad short stack. I c-bet small on the flop so I could hopefully fold to a shove...but after thinking about it, I think I should have just potstuck myself so I would be forced to call any shove. How often do you think we are good in this spot, if at all?

Whenever someone's that short, I always just shove, pot-size be damned. I dunno if that's good or bad though.

Actually I like to check this flop. He'll bet w/o an A more often than he'll call w/o one.

Well, pot odds are now $58 to 14, so 4:1 so whats to think about any more....

are you checking flop w. hands like 22 in this spot? the vulnerability of that hand seems a bit bigger i think.

had pretty much the same hand today, also with 88 but a jack as the only over. Of course he had j 10 and I felt like an idiot.
