View Full Version : 22 - call a flop 3bet for set value in multiway pot?

Both villains are aggressive, but reraiser especially so. He's only been playing a couple of orbits and this is the 2nd or third time he 3bets preflop.

If it were HU it would be an easy fold, since I'm not getting nearly enough odds. But since it's 3-way, do I make the call because of more dead money and the fact that if I hit my set, it's more likely that 2 opponents will hit a stacking off hand than if it's only one?

If they're as aggressive as you say they are, you can't necessarily put either of them on a big overpair, so the only flop where you're assured safe action would be two big cards and a deuce. If three small cards hit, you risk set-over-set as well as the possibility that they'll just lay it down to a big raise.
