I'm very new to NL, so please give thoughts on all streets.

Villain is 25/7/0.8/100. We hadn't really played a pot yet.

Seems I've actually been playing much tighter than normal at this table, about 18/12, so I would assume my image is conservative.

Woah, he is very passive and your hand is obvious.

He has a 9 here amost always so the turn is an easy fold unless you think he does this with 9T,98 more then J9,Q9,K9,A9

I would just call the flop raise, call turn and donk river probably

My hand is obvious? He's putting a 18/12 MP raiser on a nine?

He's 25/7, and he cold-called a 4x raise on the button. I do not put him on 9T, 98, J9, Q9, K9, or A9.

I think you need to widen villain's range here. He has position, effective stacks of ~150BB, he calls alot pf, and he doesn't neccesarily know your PT stats. You will see 77, 79s, 89s, T9s, A9s a lot here. I don't think you see Q9 or K9 that much.

It is close here, because you are only ahead of 89 and 9T. Of course, I'm not good at folding so I instacall, but I think you can find a fold here.

your flop 3 bet is way too small. make it at least 40 to go the second time its gets to you. if he calls that i may ch/call turn and river, but im never folding this

or call his flop raise and ch/r the turn BIG trying to get it all in by the river.

the only hand that is realisticlly beating you is 77. a better 9 is far to unlikely to fold. I think he has AA more often than a better 9.
I call as played.

sick spot your image is tight and your flop rr is super strong so when he raises the turn he beats an overpair. either AA or seven is my guess, unless he's using the ace as a bluff card since he might think you have kings, prolly not though. he can't be happy about the ace if he's got a nine unless he's got an out-of-his-range acenine. i'd puke if i folded a better nine here which is likely because he's calling with 89 and 910 more often than q9 or k9 if he does at all which he wouldn't. i dunno i think he has sevens.

Can you break down exactly why my flop 3-bet should be bigger? Is it because I should charge more against a possible OESD?

25/7s are capable of calling with garbage in position.

FWIW, I take passive lines in this spot a lot since I catch a lot of bluffers and am protected against 9 with a better kicker.

Is your opponent is anything close to decent, he has a fullhouse. What kind of hand would move in on turn to you when the board is 7 9 7 A four suited?
