Don't have a lot of hand on villain, so no reads to help me out here. I figured after he called the flop he most likely had a weaker jack (KJ/QJ/TJ), but could also have a monster (44/66) or a hand like A6. After he calls the turn, I figure he definately has at least a jack (idk if he'd call the flop/turn with a small/mid pair).

I checked the river hoping he'd check behind with QJ/TJ, the few hands I could beat. His river bet certainly represents 44/66/KJ, and I see no way he could be doing this with anything worse (unless he called me pf with 35/57, there's no missed draws he'd be bluffing).

However, I realized I only bet about half the pot on the turn, so he might have read that as weakness and could be making a play on the river. Anyone call here?

What about a blocking/value bet on the river of about 20? If he raises it should be an easy fold and this way you get value from QJ/TJ which might find a call. There weren't really any draws so villain either has a monster he'll raise with or a weaker J he'll check behind. Seems like bet/fold is the way to go.

I agree with shpanko, I'd bet around $15-$20 on the river as a block bet. Is villain capable a calling down with just the intention to bluff? I think villain was slowplaying, probably a good fold on river IMO.

Not to be nitty, but I would probably bet a little more on the turn, ~17.

I also agree with a bet/fold line on the river to get value from a weaker jack. If he slowplayed a monster until the river or caught the river w/ KJ, so be it. But I don't think I would be checking this river especially since a fold to a raise is pretty easy.
