My image is tight, I havent been in many pots for a while and have shown down a few winners so far. Villain is slightly laggy, something like 26/21/3 and seems reasonable.

Preflop Id make it 4 or fold (depends on BB's VPIP).

If he calls the turn he normally calls the river. I think I would give up after he calls the flop bet in this case.

river is spewy...if he's not folding the turn, i doubt he's folding the river.

Preflop is always going to be a steal unless my image is super loose, the raise size, well Ive been experimenting with just opening to 3bb on the button, Ive seen it in some cr videos and so far it doesnt seem too bad.

Im not sure I agree that hes not folding the river if he calls the turn, how do you justify that?

what do you think hes calling with on the turn? KQ got there, Q9 got there, QJ maybe? point being it doesnt seem like hes drawing on the turn and the river card makes it more likely hell call you with any Jack, especially when you only bet half the pot....

D, B/BTN battles, people tend to call down a little lighter IME. Also, your river bet isnt much to be scared about.

FWIW, jacks SHOULD be folding here, but also, FWIW, I end up looking you up with AJ/QJ after asking if you have an overpair a-lot.

well, if the K on the turn didnt scare him, how could the river? the river helped him...i'd be much more inclined to call w. AJ/etc by the river if i called the turn.

I think its spew also, but if youre going to do it I think the river bet needs to be at least 30

I don't like this three barrel, give it up earlier, or fire away a much larger river bet.

For only $22 more he's not going anywhere, especially after calling that turn bet.

what does he bet 3x with that AJ beats? not [censored]. only a bluff.
though his bets are small so i would call him down too...if he 3/4thed it along the way i might fold.

in crazy blind battles i'm calling w. AJ here alot.

I think your river bet size increases the chances that you will be called, and because he called the turn wallah you are called on river. The only possible way he's folding is if you bet pot and he's not an auto-donk and contemplated for a second, but I think you see why that is a bad play which is why any river bet is spewy.

Actually, screw the river bet. bet more on the turn and be done with it...the turn is a really good card for you. the river, not so much.

"River: ($41) K (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $22

Final Pot: $85 "

I think this counts as results ;-)

3 barreling here is bad. Not draws out there that missed. You are getting called often and loosely.

I would probably throw this away PF. But if i played it like this i would probably give up on the flop.
Villains stats are not outrageous and it does'nt look like he wants to fold.

Yeah fair enough, obv I got called by QJ, I agree that more on the turn and giving up probably would have been better.

Reason for the river bet size is I thought a 1/2 pot value bet looks more believable than a bigger dont call me bet - I mean I could and would take this exact like with a king, set, whatever, I dont see how it really is such an ez call with QJ.

you needed help on the river and you didn't get it...otherwise it looks ok, just don't make a habit of these

Haha I definitely dont make a habit of it. I very very rarely triple barrel but thought id try one here to mix it up, obviously it wasnt the best spot for it though. I did get mad action for the next 1/2 hour on that table though haha.
