Absolute bonus any good?

I was thinking about moving over to Absolute Poker (I usually play on FTP) to take advantage of their $750 sign-up bonus, but, although I've never played there, I do have a non-rakeback account from way back when.

I was wondering if it's worth going through the hassle of trying to get my affiliate to change my account. I don't want to do it if the bonus clears too slowly. I play $100NL 6-max FWIW.

For most people it's horrible (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=8502274&an=0&page=0#Post 8502274), now that you must see the flop to clear bonus.

That said, it might work well for short-handed $100NL, but as i've never played that i'm not sure.

Its actually better now for tournament players if you're a profitable SNGer, but it'll clear at about half the rate for .5/1NL. The nice thing about AP is that they have 200bb buyins on every NL table.

D,i just received an email from my affiliate yesterday asking if i had an AP non-rb account that id like to switch over.Just saying it might be a good time to do it,as it seems they are making another run at tagging old accounts,after they seemed to have cooled on it for awile after the first run.

Absolute rep phoned me yesterday asking me to come back since I've not played there for few months. I told him of numerous frustrations trying to get rakeback and change to bonus made it worthless to play there...he wished me a good day lol...

According to BW the bonus clears at $1.26/hr for .50/1 NL 6MAX. If you have rakeback, factor in that $/hr as well since bonus is not deducted from MGR on AP, unlike FTP.

i played 3 hours of 3-6 6max today at absolute. I cleared 40 in bonus, and cleared $54 in rakeback in 1200 hands.

so i get 7.83 dollars/100 hands.

so with rakeback and bonus I get 1.3BB/100 just for being breakeven.

decent deal if you can hang at 3-6
