No read on villain, and its my first orbit on table so I don't have much of an image.
This seems to happen to me alot, where I'll make a set, and then make a C-Bet, lose the villain and take down a tiny pot.
Should I be slowplaying more often? This happens way more than I would like.

You have to bet here, recognizing that with this board at these stakes, you're probably only going to get called when villain has something worth calling with. You aren't going to get called a high percentage of the time here, but that in and of itself is no reason to slowplay.

IMHO, this is not a board worth the risk of a slowplay, any diamond or any K or J could beat you or at least could kill your action. It would be a huge mistake to allow a gutshot or flush draw to get there free (or cheap).

Slowplaying here is a gamble; much like calling on a draw when the pot and implied odds aren't there.

Make your typical continuation bet here and hope villain has something.
