I always hate being oop in this spot with hands like JJ and TT. What do u think is the best move for me check call down just in case opp has a bigger pocket, checkraise? I feel like checkraise is kind of a spew but check call is just to weak and allows opp to draw out when they just have 2 overs.

I'd just call and either lead turn or check turn depending on villain.
