As some know I regularly play up in the Niagara Falls Area. I normally don't or haven't post a trip report about it but it deserves it for this weekend.

Seneca (first 2 nights) - The new Hotel is great. I got to see the rooms (they were sold out so I couldn't stay, a friend let me take a tour though) Big huge rooms, nice insides and if you get a fallsview Room well its a great view too. As always though the American side of the Falls (outside the casino) is a little shady.
The new restaurants are good. I got to eat in the new Italian place. Great food, nice atmosphere its a little small but its cozy. The Asian place isn’t open yet [due to open "soon"] The steak house has been open, I find I like it less and less but its still pretty tasty.

Everything was nice there. One the dealers (who also caters) made a great NYE spread of Sandwiches and Meatballs etc. The 5/10 NL game was short all night but it was a lot of fun.

They have a poker rate of 60 dollar's a night for the players. However rooms are seriously limited only 10 floors currently open more opening each day. With the Full Opening in March.

My only displeasure still is the rate are lack there of. They still haven't gotten there act together and gotten a computer to check us in or out plus since they split from the Casino itself they don't even know how its going to work. The upside is if you play there long enough and get friendly a buffet comp or steak house 10-20 bucks off isn't out of the question.

Fallsview (3rd night) Now for my Rant FALLSVIEW POKER SUCKS, my home game runs better then this place. Still after a year they don't get it. Dealers who deal other games[ IE Blackjack one day, Poker today, tomorrow Casino War), they don't get to keep there own tips. Dealers don't know the game well enough so the game runs slow. The Rake is terrible and no Rake break short handed (we were 5 handed and they won't even take off a a dollar) let alone the 2 hour wait to get on a table last night. Then today , a holiday you think they would staff correctly? There were 5 open tables with no dealers and 3 hour waits for all games. I hate that place, I wish they would wise up or close up.

There casino is nice, and so's the Food but it doesn't make up for a poker room that's run terrible. The only upside if any to that room is they get a limit game going (10/20) and higher NL ( a "real" NL game (10/20 1000 min - no max)
and the Mid NL 5/5 and 5/10 (500 and 1000 max respectivly) Where as Seneca only has the "big game" on Tuesdays and Thursdays (Thrusday there rotating now Omaha High in as well)

at Seneca this weekend I was up a good amount at the 5/10 before getting 2 outed twice and loosing most of my profit. At Fallsview those guys are nuts I only got tp play for like 6 hours before the game broke and was up about 30 BB

The players there all vary between LAG's with no clue and Weak/Tight who get scared off pretty easily.
