In a reraised pot against a TAG, is bet/folding the flop OOP the best move? What if you had AK here?

In a RRed pot OOP I would check the flop..What hand that you beat will calls your lead and no hand that beats you is going to fold??? Would villain call your RR with AJ??? With those stats I doubt it..This is a WA/WB hand..Also you do not need to fear FDs as much in RRed pot..In this case the only FD you need to concern yourself with is AKs and that hands has you in a bad spot any way and most likely would have shoved PF..

Is this hand a reraise preflop every time from a 22/12 villian in lp? Just curious because I tend to play nitty and normally fold in this situation.

Cheers,

JoshK

It depends...PF stats do not tell you everything..How often does villain ATT to Steal Blinds??? Is he positionally aware and open up from LP..If so the AQ is ahead of his range...Can villain laydown a hand??? If you see his steal numbers are very low I would fold..At 6 max these are numbers I pay close attention to..

Thanks kew, I believe I should definetly add more numbers to the hud. I'll definetly pay attention to that info a bit more.

check flop

the main likely draw he has is already ahead of you (AKs)

AJs is a possibility, but is probably the only hand that you are ahead of that will call a flop bet.... the majority of his range will either fold to your bet because you've go him beat.... or he won't fold (call or raise) because he's ahead

Check/call the flop and then check the turn and reevaluate based on what he does and the board
