I am failry new to online poker, been playing .5/1 for the last week on FT mostly..

Which is a better value, playing on PS with their VPP/FPP or playing FT with their rakeback?

I play 6max .5/1 NL

True. You won't get much out of the stars program at your stakes IMO.

At what level (no limit) does it start becoming more profitable to switch to stars?

The most significant factor in the equation does not seem to be level played, but rather # of hands played...

Do the calc's yourself in excel or something. Assume 0.6 vpp/hand for stakes around say $100 NL and 0.9/hand for $1000 NL. Guesstimate in between. Setup some cells for the VPP multiplier at different levels and how much those VPP are worth if cashed in for the various bonus tickets.

FYI I mostly play $100 and $200 6 max PLO and FTP is way better for me ... granted I only play part time as a I have a full time job that I really enjoy. I'm happy to get 15k hands a month in.

It would take roughly 40-45k hands of NL50 6max per month to maintain Platinum status.
