PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP ($19.25)
CO ($23.30)
Button ($20.10)
SB ($19.10)
Hero ($53.05)
UTG ($36.60)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, K/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
UTG calls $0.25, 2 folds, Button raises to $0.5, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.25, UTG calls $0.25.

Flop: ($1.60) K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players)
Hero bets $1.25, UTG folds, Button raises to $2.5, Hero calls $1.25.

Turn: ($6.60) 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $1, Hero calls $1.

River: ($8.60) 6/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $2, Hero calls $2.

Any thoughts? I think I could probably fold the river and save myself the $2. Anything else?

I'd call pf. I'd also c/c flop. As played I do the same. You can't really fold river, getting those odds.

I suppose that around 20% of the time on the river he could be betting a retarded QQ/JJ or something. Can you tell me why you'd prefer to check/call the flop rather than leading?

were oop and pfr usually get q. aggressive. I don't mind a c/r, defines your hand better (however the min raise pf is a bit suspicious). Leading isn't bad, I would lead sometimes. But my standard play is to check. This allows to see where you are. The c/c was mainly because he min raised pf, unless youve seen villain do this before this usually means a big hand. I'd usually c/r here.

o.k. very muddled sorry, but i think its all there. The problem about advice here is that c/c leading and c/r all have their merits

I hate minraises so I'd probably call preflop from the BB, but not the SB. If you're considering folding this, it might be a good time to launch a 3-bet to take down the pot immediately.

looks fine. You kept the betting small, you called a 2BB raise not a 4BB raise, and the river bet is small too. With Qd you had possible 2nd nut flush with one more d hitting board. What more do yo want. U just can't win them all u know...

I see no problems as played. With a miniraise preflop i see no problems with calling k/q every single time, especially out of the blinds. His raise on the flop may represent strenght, but then he bets soooooooooooo weak that there is no place to fold. I think you make money calling down in this situation.

Looks 100% OK you could also RR preflop as thats a weak raise.

Against an unknown, I'm usually folding this preflop, though calling isn't bad considering how tasty your implied odds are. Of course, it's hard to know what exactly it is you'll be hoping for on the flop, which is definitely the down side of this hand. Folding preflop is certainly not a mistake, is usually the right move against an unknown, and is definitely the best way to avoid making costly postflop mistakes (which happen frequently when you're OOP).

As played, I like the flop bet, but after the minraise I push. You've either got the best hand or the best draw, and I see no reason to give him a free look at the turn/river. I want to see two cards, I want maximum folding equity, and I want to get paid off if my hand hits hard. If it costs me $20, then it costs me $20, but with this strong a combo-draw, I'm taking this hand to the felt on the flop.

I'm reraising this flop 900% of the time. There are only a couple hands in his range we're REALLY afraid of (AdAx, AdKx, AdQd, etc) and a whole lot of hands we want action on.
