Is raising preflop bad? My thinking was that ideally, I'd like to narrow down the field a bit. Postflop seems like a sticky situation. I have evidence that villain prefers to checkraise over betting out when he hits, but it's a small sample. Once I've bet I'm priced in, yes?

Raising preflop isn't bad, no. Either/or is OK IMO. Flop is good and you have to call. TPTK is teh nutz against shorties who have less than 50 bb's.

Raise to $1.75 pre. Flop is fine.

I'm usually just checking this preflop with that many limpers. Mistake?

Why do you check? Not alot you need to be worried about here. I will lead this flop 100%. Why check and let someone try to catch a club?

talking about checking pre not on the flop wing.

What if villain had you covered, what would you do then?

They're talking preflop, not on the flop. I usually check this, but will occasionally throw out a big raise. As played, you have to call the shortstack's push.
