PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: 2+2 Forums)
Button ($55.65)
SB ($11.10)
Hero ($56.95)
UTG ($10.60)
MP ($21.65)
Preflop: Hero is BB with J/images/graemlins/spade.gif, A/images/graemlins/club.gif.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP calls $0.25, Button calls $0.25, SB completes, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1.5</font>, MP folds, Button calls $1.25, SB calls $1.25.
Flop: ($4.75) J/images/graemlins/club.gif, 3/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $4</font>, Button folds, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $9.6</font>, Hero calls $5.60.
Is raising preflop bad? My thinking was that ideally, I'd like to narrow down the field a bit. Postflop seems like a sticky situation. I have evidence that villain prefers to checkraise over betting out when he hits, but it's a small sample. Once I've bet I'm priced in, yes?
