Both villians were pretty much unknowns. I hadn't seen them do anything silly over about 15 hands at each table.

Where should I be folding in these hands (or should I not at all, as in hand 2)?

Hand 1: Flop
Hand 2: Depending on the player, MAYBE PF. On this flop what are you beating here? TT, maybe AK played aggressively? I dunno it's not as bad as hand 1 but I just think we'll almost always see QQ+.

Hand 1 fold to the RR on the flop. He has 2 pair or you're outkicked here a lot. I won't call this w/o a read.

Hand 2 This is a tough spot. I lean towards fold here though against an unknown. I play 50 nl and pf 3bet ranges are pretty tight and I'd expect them to be even tighter at 25nl. The only thing you beat is AK or TT and he probably doesn't 3bet TT pf. A read would be great here.

Hand one is basically what i thought.

Hand 2 - you guys are basically saying that he is gonna have me beat preflop almost all of the time. So the only reason I'm calling preflop is for set value? In which case I don't have the proper odds, correct? So, I should fold this preflop?

If so, how does the play change if I had QQ instead of JJ in the same spot? I would guess that since I have one of the possible QQ combinations, I'm probably looking at AA or KK, and should again fold it? Is this too weak-tight here?

I think q/q makes it a somewhat tougher decision. Most will not reraise preflop with less than j/j at this level. With q/q you are in the range of reraising hands, probably on the low or middle end of the range. From here it is completely read and stack size dependent IMO

Given no reads or your table image.

Hand 1: I fold to the flopped minraise. BB 3 bet, that means strength almost always, lets see...plausible hands that wouldn't reraise preflop that have you beat: KQ, KT, maybe TT, and 55. Easy fold for me here.

Hand 2: Hands that are beating you that reraise preflop: AA, KK, QQ, maybe 99. Hands that your flipping with that reraise AdKd, AdQd. I would have led out for $7 on the flop, and if I got raised I'm folding my hand. As played you're getting huge odds so if you're calling his pot bet you might as well raise all in.

I would have preferred to bet the flop, then I would probably lay down JJ to a flop raise, of course given no reads.

Any other thoughts, paricularly if we change my hand to QQ? Is QQ again a bet/fold? I think I like that line a lot.
