The villain seemed reasonably good, layed down a couple hands before. 25/11/2 over 70 hands.

I try to make it look like a geunine value bet. Plus I have quite a few outs.

Was this played correct?

You may aswell move allin here rather than bet $5. On the flop you only need to bet about 1.75 for a cbet, as its a reraised pot.

However on the turn I prefer checking behind. It will induce a river bet from your opponent, who will not suspect the flush, and probably not the straight either and you can get the rest of your stack if you hit, and get away cheaply with the worst hand if you miss. At the moment, you arent committed to the pot.

i dont think i like this. i'd bet like 2 at the most on the flop, and check this turn in this specific situation.

Thanks. Why do I need to bet less than my usual amount in a reraised pot?

they have a draw less, and a pair more. browse SSNL for a post regarding this

Ok, that makes sense.

In addition to betting less because it's a reraised pot, it's also a really dry flop, so you're even less worried about draws. I like checking behind the turn because if you believe he gets away from hands, then he should be getting away from this flop with anything he'll fold to the turn bet. I'm guessing at this point, you need a free card a lot more than he does, plus you'll have not much for the river if you do hit. If you make the turn bet, you might as well go AI to increase the chance that he folds, as you're tied to this pot.

The more I think about this, the more I think he had QQ.. so I most likely had no pure outs to begin with /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Ppl in NL10 cant fold bottom / middlepairs coz they're so fishy. With those fishes u'll find better spots to take their money! STOP THE [censored] BARRELING ON TURN!
