That's how I'd play it, nh.

hmm... flop is very thin IMO. it's cbet or fold. after flop call i dont know why you're calling the turn. folds!

nh. LOL @ BB's bet sizing, you deserved to spike a Q and stack him for his foolishness.

But we're almost getting immediate odds on the turn to draw to our set, plus whatver we can make on the river. Plus we might get a free showdown the rare time that we do have the best hand.

no one else thinks this preflop raise is a much too big?

i understand that there was a raise and a caller, but your bet for one, looks like it doesnt want a call, and for two, that you are investing 10 percent of your stack before u know if an A or K is going to flop, which happens quite frequently, and if it does happen either 1 ... beats you, or 2, and more importantly ... kills your action.

the rest of the hand i think is played pretty badly ... villains are idiots for making the raises the sizes they did, but if u are going to continue to the end, you need to be the aggressor, u are just donating if u continue to call these small bets.

i wouldnt doubt you end up getting tied to big pairs a lot and lose money where theres no need to. that would be a part of my play id try to evaluate if i were u.

Marshall, if I fold to $2.50 on the flop or turn, my table image is somewhat compromised, and as Redd stated, there are many other reasons to call down.

My preflop raise to 9 was fairly standard - nothing about being scared to see a flop.

i think your table image is already compromised by calling it and your hand is exposed. i believe its a raise or fold situation.

i also think the 9 kinda looks like u are scared to see a flop.

i could be wrong though, just my opinion

preflop raise looks good, about twice the size of the pot before the raise, of course you want to thin the field here, just because it "looks" scared doesn't mean people are gonna call with A8, K9 when they'd fold to a raise to $7

Yeah man youre getting immediate odds to spike that Q so I like how you played it. You're 10:1 dog on the flop and a 20:1 dog on the turn but he priced you in nicely. Nh.
