I dont really know how else i could play this hand positively. I could have called the flop bet but then i'd practically be conceeding the hand there and then. With the checkraise and push i felt he had some fold equity, especially with 4 to a straight out on the turn.

Also, i don't yet have the stats to know whether this play is profitable at this level. So long as the amount i win by hitting the flush or forcing his fold outweighs the times i dont hit then im ok.

Moderate check-raises get called far too much leaving you out of position in a bloated pot when you miss and with money left to get in when you hit.

Personally I would lead out and push allin over a raise or, on the odd occaision I go for the check-raise when this deep I just get it all in on the flop.

So do you think i played this ok?

I guess when you lose with this move its kinda +ev because it makes you look like a retard to the idiots.

I check the turn hoping for a free card... (and checkraise a little less on the flop)

Actually, you don't have much FE on the turn- you didn't save enough for a turn bullet after the flop C/R.

If you're going to try and get it in, try to do so on the the flop where you have considerably more equity. As is, you're not deep enough for a flop C/R and turn push to have much FE as a whole.
