Finally, PokerStars is opening up the bonus box for a fifth anniversary deposit bonus. From December 22nd - January 2, we'll give you a 25% bonus on your next deposit (maximum bonus of $150 on a deposit of $600).

From now through January 2, 2007, you can earn a 25% reload bonus up to $150 (on a maximum deposit of $600). No bonus code is required. To earn this bonus, you will simply need to play on PokerStars and collect the number of Base FPPs equal to 10 times the bonus amount. You have 180 days after your first deposit to earn all the FPPs you need to cash out your bonus. For complete details and information, visit the PokerStars 25% Bonus page.

same questions every time:

"If you cash out any amount from your PokerStars account during the Bonus Period, but prior to making a qualifying deposit, you are ineligible for the deposit bonus"

And you have to wait 48hrs before withdrawing after the deposit but it doesn't affect the bonus

where are all the players who were crying 'foul' when I was asking stars to change supernova status to a 12 month consecutive period? This play money eligibility seems ridiculous and will likely cost players who DO pay rake a lot of money.

How will this cost rake paying players a lot of money?

I'm all for any promotional program that will help bring in new players (fish).

Seems like +EV to me.

Reef
12-22-2006, 05:59 PM
because when a play money table wins a milestone hand, a real money table does not.

As for bringing new fish into the population, the "winner" only gets $50 and the rest $10. Better to have hundreds or thousands going into the fish population already established as real money players.

I guess that 50 would get donated to the economy?

It also saves money for stars. Giving $150 total to a play table is lots cheaper than a couple K for mid or high tables with lots of novas.

This isn't correct - after every real money milestone hand, there will be a play money milestone hand. The number of real money milestone hands is not affected in any way by the existence of play money milestone hands.

Thank you for your email.

I believe this has been written incorrectly. Every millionth hand a 'real
money' table will be stopped and awarded money based on who won and what
stakes.

At this time we will then visit a random play money table which we will
then award them money also.

Real money players will not be effected because money will be given away
to both a real money and play money table everytime.

No.

At least, that's how the terms have always been in the past and I'm assuming they haven't changed.

Do NOT cash-out before depositing or you cancel your right to the bonus.

Dig up $600 on neteller somehow and do it that way.

You have to leave the deposit in for 48 hours, and then you can cash it out right back to your neteller if you like.
And you will still have the bonus.

ok, it's my turn for a dumb question. If I'm currently clearing a bonus at prima (trident), i can withdraw most of my money in my acct and drop it into stars for this bonus, and not lose my prima bonus correct (obv at some point i would redeposit and continue to clear the prima bonus).

Sorry for being dumb, its late and im a bonus whore noob.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you used to only have to have 5x FPP to earn a bonus? Thanks

Thats how it used to be yes. Then it was 7x now its up again.

But i think they opened up their criteria for receiving an FPP in cash games quite a bit... you will make a lot more FPP today than you would have 3 months ago... i think it changed about 1.5-2.5 months ago.

ImsaKidd
12-24-2006, 03:43 AM
Yeah, cleared mine already /images/graemlins/wink.gif

MicroBob
12-24-2006, 05:02 AM
yes, they just increased this because they also increased the rate at which you earn them.

When the bonus cleared at 5x originally you did not get double for max-rake (or $2 rake on 6-max) nor did you get an FPP at $0.40 rake at the lower stakes.

To leave the clearance rate at 5x after these new FPP accrual rules were implemented would have been like making it a 2.5 or 3x bonus for many of their players.
And while that would really be nice it's certainly not very practical for them.

7x at the new rules is probably better for more players than 5x at the old rules.

if i deposit into stars, then a day later withdraw my deposit amount, will my bonus still be ok? i seem to remember doing this in the past but it may have been on another site.

Forgive me my bad english, it's not my first language.

Hi there,

i was wondering how many FPPs you guys collect at the micros per 100 hands? Cause I would like to clear the bonus there.

Please post your average rates for:

- 0.10/ 0.20 FL Full Ring
- 0.25/ 0.50 FL Full Ring
- 0.50/ 1.00 FL Full Ring

[ QUOTE ]
First Frequent Player Point (FPP) is awarded for playing a hand in which the rake reaches: $0.40 for fixed limit poker games with stakes $1/$2 and lower

[/ QUOTE ]

I'd like to grind it out at 0.10/ 0.20, so I asked the support if PS gives partial FPPs:

[ QUOTE ]
But the stakes I would play at will rarely produce 0,40$ rake a hand, so can I earn FPPs with lower rakes than 0,40$, let's say i get 1/2 a base FPP when the rake is 0,20$ and 1/4 FPP when the rake is 0,10 or do only the hands count where the rake is 0,40$ and higher?

[/ QUOTE ]

Answer:

[ QUOTE ]
To answer your first question partial Frequent Player Points are always rounded to the nearest whole number and to answer your second you receive one FPP for being dealt into each raked game. So you don't have to see the hand to showdown to earn your FPPs.

[/ QUOTE ]

So, if I understand the answer correct, it should be possible to clear it at .10/ .20 within a few days multitabling?

/images/graemlins/grin.gif

AmonRaa
01-01-2007, 08:01 AM
No, you dont understand it correctly. You wont earn any points below 0.5/1 (virtually none that is) and even at this level you'll be earning them slow. At 1/2 you'll be earning decent ammount of them.

Davey

Bonuses stack. They will clear biggest first or first to expire.
