Has anyone played a HORSE tournament at a WSOP Circuit? If so, what did you think of the structure? Below is the structure that will be used at Tunica on Jan. 13. Its a $1,000 +60 buy-in and you start with t5,000 chips, and 30 minutes levels. Is this a lottery? Any opinions?
You can see the structure here:

I think the first 12 levels are ok, but if you notice afterwards it gets very vertical very fast.
The levels are 30 minutes but if you notice the blinds/low card complete change every 2 levels so you basically play 60 minutes at each level but just change games every 30 minutes.
I'm not thrilled with the missing 500/1000 level, but on the whole I'd give the structure a thumbs up.

I think the structure looks good. I don't think you could ask or expect anything more. I am gonna try satellites to this one.

your hourly rate is arguably higher in a high rising blind structure, especially in a limit based tournament. you do sacrifice some ROI for hourly rate, however.

Thanks for the thoughts, everybody. I'm pretty good at figuring this out for NLHE, but have never played a fixed tourney.
See you there.

Looks pretty good & ya gotta love that there's no switching to NLHE at the FT nonsense.

ESPN is televising this event so no change to NL Hold'em.
ESPN is the only reason they switched to NL at the final table of the 50k last year.
