Is this faulted?

Oh yeah, I totally agree with your prioritization, I would have done the same thing. I just thought it was funny how badly you did. I wonder what profs think when they assign trivial percentages to something like homework and watch people pass their class while completely disregarding it.

Also, I am on record as saying Attendance points are absolutely ridiculous.

Okay, so.

Your total grade is going to be...

HW = .05*((84.43 + 58.82 + 47.87 + 8 + 64.79 + 86.21 + 19.57)/770) = ~.024
Attendance = .05*(12/19) = ~.0316 +
Exams = .6*((75.64 + 75.64 + 83.75)/300) = ~.47
Final = .3*(g/100) = .003g

HW + Attendance + Exams = ~.52

Your overall goal is .74, thus .003g must be > .22. So g, your final exam grade, must be at least .22/.003, or 73.333..., slightly higher than your calculation.

Just get at least a C on the final and you should be good to go.

Thanks for the Help, I hate attendence pts, online homeworks, and school in general. I shoot for straight C's and call it g00t.

I wish I knew how that felt sometimes. I'm planning on med school, so grades are important for me. And I'll have to know everything forward and backward for the MCAT.

Yeah, maybe a long time ago, straight out of highschool, before the weed and slackin, I may have persued an education rather than a degree.

I'm interested to see how this goes for you, keep me posted. Are you currently a sophomore? When are you going to start studying for the MCAT?

I did ok on it, good enough to get several acceptances, and I've been through the process, so if you have any questions about this at any point feel free to ask me.

Oh and don't worry, once you get in you will find out that the most important equation in med school is P = MD. Not that it will be super easy to pass, but thats all you need to shoot for. Grades in med school are of minimal importance.

I'll definitely ask, but right now I'm just a freshman. I'm going to cover all the core science before I finish as a sophomore, and start preparing in earnest then.

It's good to know that grades in med school are of minimal importance, but I hear it's also a ton of hard work. My idea is that if I can't handle undergrad, med school will eat me alive. Also I'm hoping to get into an MSTP program, and undergrad grades will matter a lot because those are very competitive. I need to be a triple-threat in GPA, MCAT, and extracurricular to have much of a chance.

If your posts in this forum truly are representative of your intelligence, you should have no problem getting into medical school, honestly. What tier are you hoping for?
